Live Session Help
1 1. Before the lesson
- Use Chrome, Firefox, or Edge on desktop, or Safari on iPhone or iPad.
- Close other apps that may still be using the camera or microphone, such as Zoom or Teams.
- Keep the room open in one tab only; opening it in a second tab kicks the first one out automatically.
2 2. Granting camera and microphone permission
Chrome on Desktop
- Click the lock or settings icon next to the URL in the address bar.
- Make sure Camera and Microphone are set to Allow.
Chrome on Android
- Tap the lock icon next to the address, then choose Site settings.
- Allow access to the Camera and Microphone.
Safari on macOS
- Open Safari → Settings → Websites from the top menu.
- Allow Camera and Microphone for this site.
Safari on iPhone / iPad
- Open Settings → Safari → Camera & Microphone and make sure it is set to Ask or Allow.
- In the browser, tap the "aA" button next to the address and choose Website Settings to confirm the permissions.
Firefox
- Click the lock icon to the left of the address bar and clear any blocked permissions.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the lock next to the address and choose Site permissions to enable Camera and Microphone.
4 4. The chat works, but the video never connects
If the chat works but the video does not connect, iOS Lockdown Mode may be enabled and it blocks WebRTC completely.
Check it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Lockdown Mode, or add this site as an exception.
A company or school network blocking UDP traffic, or an active VPN, can also stop the video connection.
5 5. If it still fails
If the steps above do not work, click "Report a problem" inside the room, or contact support through the Contact Us form or by email at support@easytech.college.
